About Mark Lindsay CNC

My name is Mark Lindsay. No, I’m not the singer. I’ve been a woodworker in one form or another for 50+ years, both professionally and as a hobbyist. I’m also an amateur guitar maker and YouTube content creator. I host weekly Live Q&A sessions on my YouTube channel, beginning at Noon Pacific Time, 3 pm Eastern Time. You can visit my YouTube channel by clicking here.

I built my first hobby CNC router from plans I ordered from fellow woodworker and CNC enthusiast Dave Gatton in 2014. I built the first CNC using a band saw, drill press, a table saw and a hand held drill. I used that machine to recut the gantry, and built a new CNC on top of the original base. Since that time, I’ve been learning everything I can about the CNC hobby.

In 2017 I set about building my second complete CNC from the ground up. I posted an 11 part series documenting the build of my Gatton CNC on my YouTube channel, the playlist of which can be found here.

In my Shop, you’ll find links to the FREE CNC files I’ve demonstrated in several of my videos. You’ll also find links to the files I have for sale, as well as t-shirts, coffee cups, etc.

Enjoy your visit here, and please remember that I am NOT a CNC expert, and I cannot help you troubleshoot your CNC router. Every CNC router, controller, and controller software is different. Your best option is to contact your CNC manufacturer’s Tech Support division, or look for a Support Forum or Support Community through their website. They are the people who know your machine best, while I would only be guessing. At the end of the day, I’m just this guy on the internet. I like to tell folks that I’m just some guy with a shed, some bench top power tools, and a home built CNC router.

Take care!

Mark
