Halloween Haunts CNC Contest

Are you ready to carve, cut, or print your way to a spooktacular prize? Unleash your creativity in our Halloween Haunts CNC Contest! We’re looking for original, frightfully fun projects crafted primarily with CNC technology.

The Challenge

Design and create a Halloween-themed project using one or more of the following: a CNC router, CNC laser, or CNC 3D printer. You can use any materials compatible with your chosen CNC equipment. While other tools can be used for accenting or finishing, their use should be minimal; the core of your project must showcase your CNC skills.

How to Enter

• Contest Period: August 15th, 2025, to October 31st, 2025, at 11:59 PM EDT. Projects must be completed during the contest time frame.
• Submission: To enter, submit high-resolution photos and/or a short video (less than 2 minutes) of your completed project. Ensure your submissions are clear, well-lit, and showcase your project from multiple angles to give the judges a comprehensive view. The quality and size of your visuals are your responsibility and crucial for proper judging.

If you submit a video, please ensure there is no music at all in the video – even in the background.

• No Purchase Necessary: There is no fee to enter this contest.

Limit of 1 (one) entry per channel member. Submit all entries to Mark Lindsay by emailing them to: marklindsaycnc@gmail.com

Entries must be received by 11:59 PM EDT October 31st, 2025.

Judging Criteria

A panel of independent judges will evaluate each project anonymously (each project will be assigned a number). Judges will assign a score from 1 to 5 in each of the following five categories, for a maximum of 25 points per judge:

1. Originality and Creativity: How unique and imaginative is your Halloween-themed design?
2. Design Concept: How well-conceived and thought-out is the overall design?
3. Execution Quality: How precisely and skillfully was the project fabricated using CNC equipment?
4. Finishing Quality: How well is the project finished, including any accents or detailing?
5. Overall Appearance: What is the general visual impact and appeal of the finished project?
The scores from all judges will be totaled, and the project with the highest overall score will be declared the winner. In the event of a tie, the contest sponsors will determine the winner.

The Prizes
